Three Things I Like About Soundtrack #1

Guest Post from Fadima Mooneira

Soundtrack #1 is a 2022 South Korean winter romance drama series starring Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee.

The drama was released on the 23rd of March 2022 and it is shown on Disney + in selected territories. Soundtrack #1 was written by Ahn Sae Beom and directed by Kim Hee Won.

The story was set in the present time during the winter season. It followed two protagonists, Han Seon-Woo (Park Hyung Sik) and Lee Eun-Soo (Han So Hee).

Soundtrack #1 carries the friends-to-lovers trope. Seon-Woo and Eun-Soo had been best friends for 20 years. Seon-Woo secretly liked Eun-Soo. But Eun-Soo had no clue about it and she believed that they were only meant to be best friends forever.

Seon-Woo was heartbroken. He went to the states to pursue a career as a photographer. Years later, he returned to Seoul as a photographer. His work was already recognized by art experts around the world.

Eun-Soo on the other hand was still a struggling lyricist. Eun-Soo wrote so many lyrics. But all of them got rejected.

The last recording company that rejected Eun-Soo’s work told her that her lyrics were actually good, but it lacked emotion. To write a compelling lyric, Eun-Soo invited Seon-Woo to live with her for one month. She wanted him to help her find inspiration.

Seon-Woo at first disagreed with Eun Soo’s idea. But since he cared for her, he decided to live with her and help her with her work. After living together, Seon-Woo and Eun-Soo started to develop feelings for each other.

Seon-Woo was afraid of having unrequited love again, and Eun-Soo was confused. So what will happen to Seon-Woo and Eun-Soo?

Will they realize their feelings for each other?

You guys need to binge-watch Soundtrack #1 if you want to know. Sorry guys, no spoilers here ^_^

I binge-watched Soundtrack #1 last April and I totally fell in love with the drama. I’m planning to binge-watch it again soon.

This drama is not long like other K-dramas, guys. It only has four episodes.

In this guest post, I would like to share three things that I like about Soundtrack #1. Now let’s check out the three things…

#1 It is set in winter

Soundtrack #1 is a winter romance drama. So the drama is set in the winter season.

As a person living in a one-season country (Malaysia only has summer), I always miss winter and the snow.

Watching this drama gives me the chance to let go of my longing for winter. Plus, this drama gives me the warm and cozy winter feeling that I always miss when I was living in Manchester.

#2 The male protagonist: Han Seon-woo

The male protagonist, Han Seon-Woo (Park Hyun Sik) is such a sweetheart. He is adorable and a real gentleman.

The character makes this drama feel so dreamy. Hehehe ^_^

Plus, I also like that this drama always shows Seon-Woo cooking delicious meals for Eun-Soo. Guys who are good cooks are my ideal type.

#3 Park Hyung Sik and Han So Hee’s chemistry

Last but not least, I have to admit that Park Hyun Sik and Han Soo Hee are a beautiful couple.

These two actors are so beautiful to look at. Their acting in the drama is also good. They really create beautiful chemistry together.

Their chemistry in this drama gives audiences a warm romantic feeling. Their chemistry also makes you want to repeat binge-watching the drama.

Okay, so these are the three things that I like about Soundtrack #1.

Overall, I rate Soundtrack #1 10/10. This drama is a must-not-miss for all K-drama and Hallyu fans. After all, it only has four episodes.

So has anyone watched Soundtrack #1? If yes, what are your opinions of the drama? Did you guys enjoy watching it?
