Record Planet Now Open at Market! Market! | Everything You Need to Know

Record Planet Market Market

If you’ve been a KPop fan in the Philippines, you know how long it can take for albums to ship and the expensive shipping fees.

But with Record Planet kpop store finally opening it’s first physical store in Metro Manila, we don’t have to worry about the long wait or steep shipping fees.

Record Planet opened at the third floor of Market! Market! an Ayala Malls mall in BGC, Taguig.

I was lucky to be able to drop by on opening day to check out what’s inside so you know what to expect on your visit.

What Is Record Planet?

Record Planet is a KPop merch store based in South Korea. Before, KPop fans in the Philippines could only order through their online shop in Shopee. Now, they finally have an offline store.

And as a kpop fan, I prefer offline stores because you can browse to your heart’s content and get your kpop merch in minutes.

But the best part is aside from kpop albums and light sticks, they have the lucky draw machine!

Inside Record Planet at Market! Market! What Albums Can You Find?

Though the store isn’t the biggest KPop shop I’ve been to they had a lot of KPop albums.

Boy groups: BTS, Stray Kids, Ateez, Seventeen, BoyNextDoor, TXT, Enhypen, AHOF, NCT Wish, NCT DREAM, PLAVE, Treasure, Alpha Drive One, Cortis

Girl groups: Baby Monster, BLACKPINK, Illit, Aespa, NewJeans, Twice

One thing that I didn’t expect was their listening corner. I listen to the BTS album right there in the store. It reminded me of the time I used to go to Tower Records when I was a teen to listen to albums. The nostalgia!

But my favorite corner: was the lucky draw machine!

The Lucky Draw Experience (The Part I Was Most Excited For!)

I was so excited we finally have a permanent lucky draw machine in the Philippines. Lucky draws are huge in Korea and in international Kpop spaces, but it’s not always available in here.

The last time I got to try was at a temporary pop-up.

Here’s how it works: they have different lucky draw packages available at different prices.

1 token = 1 photocard

1 token = P200

3 tokens = P500

5 tokens = P700

I went with the single photo card option, which is priced at ₱200.

You pick your package, try your luck, and see which photo card you pull.

And as of April 20, these are the groups available at the lucky draw machine:

Ateez, Stray Kids, Seventeen, and then they have a button for random girl groups and random boy groups.

And yes, the photo cards are official and even include POBs.

If you’re a photo card collector or just love a little thrill, this is 100% worth trying.

How to Get to Record Planet Philippines

The store is located inside Market! Market! Mall in BGC (Bonifacio Global City), Taguig.

It is specifically located inside the mall, on the third floor!

First time I tried the lucky draw and got Jun. The second time I went back to the store I did 3 tokens and got Seventeen’s Vernon and Joshua and Stray Kids’ Seungmin

Tips Before You Visit

A few things I wish I’d known before going:

  • Bring extra budget. You will see something you want that wasn’t on your list.
  • The lucky draw starts at ₱200 for a single photo card. A fun, low-commitment way to try it if you’re unsure.
  • Use the listening corner! It’s a fun experience as well. I’m just not sure if you can only listen to the albums that are currently on the player or if you can choose to listen to other albums.
  • Go on a weekday if you can to avoid the weekend crowd, especially if you want to browse without rushing.
